My biggest fear is looking out windows at night. I had a couple bad experiences with windows at night when I was younger (even though they were due to my idiotic friends or my brothers friends) and ever since then I have never been able to look out them at night.
Sliding Glass Doors.... (in class free writing)
Freaky.
Come home from school to an empty house
Daylight still holds onto everything around me.
Afraid of the dark.
Sit down in the comfy recliner and fall asleep,
Awaiting my parents return.
SHIT! it's the weekend and they are in Rochester visiting my brother.
Wake up.
Darkness has taken over.
Time for some action.
Parties are fun,
But cleaning up after them is a drag.
After all is picked up the recliner once again
calls out my name.
I sit back down.
Everything will be O.K. as long as I don't look out the windows.
But what do I do?
My eyes wander to the large panes of glass
making up the sliding doors.
I'm brought back to a time when I was 5 years old.
Brother babysitting,
Both asleep on the couch.
A loud bang, thud, smack on the window.
Slowly peak over the edge of the couch and there he is.
A man in a ski mask.
Screaming takes over followed by my brothers laughter.
Turns out my brother has some idiotic friends,
but I'm left scarred for life.
Back to reality,
BANG!
Heart beats faster and faster
Eyes closed in fear of what they will see.
One eye opens, only to find
a slimy frog stuck to the glass door,
starring at me and laughing at a coward.
True story. My brothers stupid friends scarring the shit out of me when I was only five has caused me to have this huge fear of windows. And that stupid frog, I could have killed it I was so pissed. My bedroom is in the basement of my house (no windows thank god) and to this day, when I go upstairs at night I close my eyes every time I walk through the house.

I love the detail in this. I especially like how with every new sentence you started a new line, or when there was a pause in a sentence.
